Speeding up Dashboards Using Pivot Tables.
With the launch of data models, Splunk introduced a method to search through millions of events in seconds. Once accelerated, there are more ways to take advantage of them than using the Pivot UI. Custom dashboards can be created that utilize the accelerated data model by use of the pivot command.
